Garden Room, Suffolk
The design of this extension
gives two distinctly different aspects: as
viewed from the formal brick fronted elevation of the house
the extension is treated as a flanking wall, in matching brickwork,
with a swept coping and a solid end pier. On
the reverse, the contrasting design is revealed; a quarter-circle
plan radiating from a stainless steel chimney, a low sweeping
lead roof, wide soffit and deep windows offering a panoramic
view of the garden. The garden room is set within a pebble
margin with a stone pathway and brick retaining walls, all
emphasising the radiused plan.
